Rwandan singer Alyn Sano has arrived in Houston, United States, where she is set to perform at a special entertainment event accompanying the FIFA World Cup 2026 match between Portugal and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The event will take place in designated fan zones where supporters will gather to watch the highly anticipated match outside the stadium, blending sports and live entertainment in the city of Houston.
Alyn Sano described the opportunity as a result of connections and engagements she built during her previous visit to the United States, where she met event organizers and industry professionals.
She said: “When I was in the United States, we discussed this event, and now I am here in Houston to perform it.”
Before this engagement, Alyn Sano had recently been in the United States attending the NAMM Show 2026, an international music industry gathering held in California, which brings together artists and music professionals from around the world.
The Portugal vs DR Congo match is expected to attract huge global attention, with thousands of fans watching both inside the stadium and in public viewing areas across Houston.
