Patriots BBC defeated RSSB Tigers 100-85 to strengthen their grip on the top position in the Rwanda Basketball League standings with 25 points.The highly anticipated fixture was played at BK Arena on Friday night, 12 June 2026.

Patriots narrowly led 31-29 at the end of the first period.Patriots continued their impressive display in the second quarter, with Garba Kennedy and Kwizera Sage contributing crucial points.The lead grew to 10 points as Patriots headed into the half-time break with a 62-52 advantage over RSSB Tigers.
Tigers came out strongly after the interval and reduced the deficit to just four points at 75-71 during the third quarter.However, Patriots regained control and finished the quarter ahead 77-73.The final quarter was highly entertaining and produced plenty of points. Stubbs, who had been relatively quiet earlier in the game, stepped up with a series of important baskets.
Patriots eventually secured a convincing 100-85 victory, with Garba Kennedy leading the scoring with 22 points.The win keeps Patriots at the top of the league table on 25 points, having won 11 of their 14 matches and lost three.RSSB Tigers, meanwhile, have 16 points from nine matches, having played fewer games due to their participation in the 2026 Basketball Africa League (BAL).
In the earlier men’s fixture, APR BBC defeated Kepler BBC 113-84 to continue climbing the league standings.The army side currently sits fourth with 19 points from 10 matches.In the women’s league, APR WBBC beat Kepler WBBC 67-48 to move into third place with 18 points.The league will continue on Sunday with several key fixtures scheduled. REG BBC will face Kepler BBC, UGB will take on APR BBC, while RSSB Tigers will meet Azomco. All matches will be played at Petit Stade.
