Paris Saint-Germain of France won the UEFA Super Cup the most prestigious trophy in European club football for the first time in their history, defeating England’s Tottenham Hotspur 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the regular 90 minutes.

This match brought together the UEFA Champions League winners”, Paris Saint-Germain, and the Europa League winners, Tottenham Hotspur. It took place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Stadio Friuli in the Italian city of Udine.

PSG continues to make it’s legendary history

The match began with both teams not at their sharpest, playing mostly in midfield without creating many scoring chances. Tottenham had the first real threat in the 23rd minute.It came from a powerful shot by Richarlison from outside the penalty area, which PSG goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier stretched to tip over the bar.
