Multi-Channel Payment Capabilities

“The bank’s main goal is to find a way for Ghanaians to get paid for their content and manage cash-outs for gifts they receive.Mr. Abraham Ferguson, Chief of Staff, GCB Bank, Ghana
Collaboration with TikTok and Government Support
Hon. Samuel Nartey George actively supported GCB Bank’s proposal, engaging directly with Ms. Tokumbo Ibrahim, TikTok’s representative for West Africa. He emphasized that using GCB Bank as an official payment channel would not only provide a reliable system for content creators but also eliminate the need for third-party services, reducing fees and ensuring greater financial benefits for Ghanaian talent.

The discussions concluded with a commitment from Ms. Tokumbo (TikTok) to review the feasibility of the proposed solution. Mr. Ferguson expressed optimism about the outcome, stating that GCB Bank looks forward to a positive response, which would immediately set in motion steps to establish a direct connection between the bank and TikTok.
