A 28-year-old woman named Naisae Yona has won the Miss Universe Tanzania 2025 title at a ceremony held in Dar es Salaam, earning her the ticket to represent her country at the international Miss Universe 2025 competition.
Naisae Yona received significant prizes, including a brand-new Hyundai car and a cash award of 10 million Tanzanian shillings (over 5 million Rwandan francs).Naisae is a mother of one. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and is an entrepreneur who founded companies such as NEY HAIR, Forever Frames TZ X SA, NEY Homes, and Bladed-Shaded. Through these ventures, she has transformed the lives of young women and youth by teaching them entrepreneurship and self-empowerment.

She focuses heavily on campaigns that promote self-reliance and entrepreneurship for girls and youth from disadvantaged backgrounds.Her main message centers on empowering women and young girls, teaching them how to earn and manage money sustainably, and encouraging them to trust their own abilities instead of waiting for external support.
In her personal life, Naisae Yona enjoys recreational and cultural activities, including coaching, cooking, and traveling. She says these activities help her remain grounded and connect with people in a relaxed manner.Her role model is Lulu Makoi, her mother. Since August 2022, the Miss Universe Organization announced that starting from the 72nd Miss Universe pageant in 2023, married women and mothers are eligible to compete and represent their countries.
