Shah Rukh Khan, the Indian film actor, has made international history by surpassing global celebrities, including pop star Taylor Swift, on the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals.
The 59-year-old actor officially entered the category of billionaires, becoming the first Indian actor to reach this milestone.
Net Worth and Sources of Wealth
According to the M3M Hurun India Rich List 2025, his net worth is estimated at INR 12,490 crore, equivalent to over $1.5 billion USD. Shah Rukh Khan’s wealth does not come solely from his acting career but largely from entrepreneurship tied to his major film industry success.

In 2002, he founded Red Chillies Entertainment, a highly successful film production company that has generated substantial profits from blockbuster films such as Om Shanti Om, Pathaan, Jawan, and Raees. The company also produces visual effects and provides services for other films, further increasing his income.
Another major source of Khan’s wealth is his ownership stake in the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricket team, where he is one of the primary shareholders. This investment earns him significant returns through commercial deals and tournament revenues.
Real Estate and Global Recognition
Shah Rukh Khan also owns extraordinary real estate assets, including his famous Mumbai residence Mannat, a home in Beverly Hills, USA, land and a property in Alibaug, and hotels in London and Dubai.

Remarkably, his wealth now exceeds that of international icons such as Taylor Swift ($1.3B), Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1.2B), and Selena Gomez ($720M), according to the Hurun List.
Among the top five highest-earning Bollywood actors, Khan leads the list, followed by Juhi Chawla and her family with a net worth of INR 7,790 crore, largely due to profits from KKR.
