According to the family, Muthoni was allegedly killed by her husband because she got home late that night.
When Did Rose Muthoni Die?
Her husband allegedly attacked and fatally stabbed her at their home in Juja, Kiambu County, on Saturday, September 6.Muthoni’s mom recalled her last phone call with her daughter just hours before the tragedy.
That call ended warmly, with Muthoni wishing her mother goodnight since both had work the following day.
Mother Learns of Daughter’s Death
Just a few hours later, her mother was woken up by a disturbing phone call.She tried calling both Muthoni and her husband but couldn’t reach either of them. Moments later, her nanny screamed on the phone.
Panicked, she called other family members and asked them to rush to her daughter’s house to confirm.Back home in Kayole, she anxiously waited for updates.
According to Tracy, when she went to the kitchen to fetch the knives, she saw Muthoni’s husband on top of her, stabbing her with two knives.When Tracy tried to intervene, he stabbed her too, leaving her injured on the ground.
Attempted Attack on Their Child
The tragedy didn’t end there. Muthoni’s husband allegedly tried to push their 4-year-old son off the balcony, but Tracy managed to save him.Neighbors, alarmed by the screams, rushed to the house and found the horrifying scene.
