Tanzanian artist Zuhura Othman, popularly known as Zuchu, expressed deep gratitude to Yanga Sports Club after being chosen as the headline performer for their annual celebration event known as “Yanga Day.” She shared how honored she felt to become the first female Tanzanian artist to be recognized and rewarded at such a high level during the event.
Zuchu, visibly emotional and in tears of joy, performed in front of a massive crowd during the event and made history as the first woman to be given the main artist slot at Yanga Day. The event is one of the biggest and most followed sports celebrations in Tanzania.

Speaking to the media after her performance, Zuchu opened up about how intense and emotional her preparation journey was. She described it as filled with tears, challenges, hard training, and strong support from her family especially her husband and mother who encouraged her every step of the way.

After stepping off the stage, Zuchu said she was overwhelmed with emotion not from sadness, but from deep appreciation. She recalled how they had very limited time for rehearsals on the day of the show. Her team stayed at the stadium until late at night, working tirelessly to make sure everything went smoothly.
