South African rapper Thabo Mahlwele, popularly known as Touchline Truth, has arrived in Rwanda ahead of the “Music in Space World Tour” concert, which will bring together various artists from across Africa and beyond.
The artist landed in Rwanda on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, where he was warmly received by the organizing team of the concert.Speaking to the press upon arrival, Touchline said he already knew of Rwandan star The Ben, but was eager to discover more artists from the country. He promised to give his very best when he steps on stage.
He said: “I’m happy. The vibe here is very different from back home in South Africa. What people can expect from me at this concert is a lot of energy and great music. Before coming to Rwanda, the only artist I knew was The Ben, but I want to discover many others.”After Rwanda, Touchline is expected to head to Uganda for another performance.
The Johannesburg-born rapper, songwriter, and actor from Tembisa is highly respected in the South African entertainment industry. He is best known for hit songs such as “Nyakaza”, “Running Them Too”, and “I’ll Always Have Me”, which showcase his lyrical depth rooted in street life experiences.The “Music in Space World Tour” concert in Rwanda will take place on August 23, 2025, at the Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (Camp Kigali) parking grounds.
Tickets for the 1,500 Frw regular section sold out earlier on August 7, 2025. Currently, available tickets include 5,000 Frw for standard entry, 10,000 Frw VIP (pre-sale), 15,000 Frw VIP (at the gate), and 200,000 Frw tables for six people.Rwandan stars on the lineup include The Ben, Bushali, Ariel Wayz, and Kenny Sol. International acts will feature Boohle, Bizizi & Kaygee D’A King, and STU from South Africa, as well as Ugandan artists Vampino renowned for his long-standing career and Sir Kisoro. Danish musician Bjorn Vido, known for his environmental music projects, is also expected.
