Rapper Offset, through a track featured on his new album “KIARI”, has once again revisited the ups and downs of his love story with rapper Cardi B, who was once his wife.
After years of love mixed with conflict, Offset revealed that the closing track of his new album KIARI reflects on his breakup with Cardi B, with whom he spent seven years in a relationship.
He confirmed that the song is titled “Move On.” In an interview with the Associated Press, he explained that he wrote it as a way of closing the chapter on that chapter of his love life.Offset, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, said the song delivers a message of acceptance and moving on in peace.
He stated: “It’s about leaving in peace. That’s how the message has to be. It’s over between me and [Cardi B]… it’s time for me to move forward with my life.”The rapper, best known as a member of the group Migos, emphasized that writing this track helped him calm down and free his mind after going through difficult times.
Although he did not share many details about what happened between him and Cardi B, Offset admitted that they had good times together but stressed that it was over and that both needed to continue their lives without looking back.
On the other hand, Cardi B, famous for hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “WAP,” recently revealed that she is in a new relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs, after posting photos of the two together in June while on a boat.After filing her second request for a permanent divorce in July 2024, Cardi explained that she wanted to live in peace with her children without seeking what she described as “last-minute benefits,” noting that she had not requested spousal support.
Later, Cardi went into more detail about her struggles with Offset, including accusing him of verbal abuse and of sending explicit videos to someone he had just started dating.The two share three children together: Kulture (7), Wave (3), and Blossom (11 months).
Offset’s album KIARI will be released on August 22, 2025, with “Move On” closing the tracklist serving as both a symbolic ending to one chapter and the beginning of another in his life.
